In early 2019, after mostly working on other people's projects for over a decade, I decided I wanted to get back into making my own films.
Having amassed a huge network of incredibly talented friends, I set about creating a project that would hopefully draw out the best work from those I have for so long wanted to work with. The script I came up with was relatively simple from a narrative perspective, but was technically very demanding, and I was really looking forward to discovering what magic might come forth from this amazing team. Then Covid happened. Production shut down in early 2020, having shot roughly half of the project. What has been created so far is wonderful and very encouraging, but there is still so much left to do. Unfortunately, there is little we can do but wait for the crisis to be over and start back up again. When the film is completed, it is likely that you'll be seeing shots back-to-back in the edit that were filmed over two years apart. The magic of cinema. The incredibly talented cast and crew I mentioned are all fantastic artists in their own right, and you should definitely check out their own work: Cast: Dana - Eve Carson twitter @evegcarson The Dryad - Sugar Magnohlia instagram @sugarmagnohlia Crew: Producer - Don McNulty homepage donshades.com Cinematographer - Selina Mayer homepage selinamayer.com Production Designer - Kiran-Lee Allen homepage endymionlee.com Costumes - Marco Tullio Siviglia instagram @markeyew Camera Assistant - Kate McCurdy 1st Assistant Director - Whit Doig Script Supervisor - Rey Yusuf |
